The WeSC summer collection has just come into store and focuses on the WeActivists - WeSC asked each of the artists to each contribute to the collection with a graphic image. From Ray Barbee's album graphic to Vanessa Prager's real life characters, Stretch Armstrong's New York flyer and many more - It's the WeActivists at their very best. If we had to highlight three of the t-shirts then they would have to be by Alex Prager, Stash and Mercedes Helnwein.
Alex Prager
Listed as one of the hottest things to watch for 2010 by Elle UK, WeActivist Alex Pragers work is reaching high acclaim all over the world. With exhibitions in New York, LA, London and more, here large vividly coloured photographs of 70's women in surreal situations are as good as it gets. Her print for the WeSC Summer collection is also just that - fantastic.
Stash
Brooklyn based graffiti legend and WeActivist Stash has lent WeSC one of his trademark items to turn into a graphic - the 'where-would-he-go-without it' spraycan. You might have been lucky enough to see the original painting hanging in a gallery, but for those of you who haven't, we recommend you to buy the t-shirt, its also a lot better and more affordable.
Mercedes Helnwein
Raised in Ireland and currently LA based, her drawings are as surreal as they are humorous. Mercedes has taken not only the art-world by storm but the media with a recent 12 page feature in Lula Magazine (UK). Mercedes work inspires, entertains & fascinates.
